Knowledge, skills, and tools for Goris to excel in a global world.

GO Krtojakh Educational Foundation empowers the community of Goris through quality, innovative English education — a thriving hub of skills, development, and growth in Syunik. Now building the region’s first English-and-STEAM elementary school.

Beyond the classroom

Our projects.

Alongside the courses at GO Center, the foundation runs projects that widen access and strengthen education across the Goris community.

Equal access · Grades 3–12 & GSU

GO Scholarship

Free English instruction at GO — the scholarship covers tuition for a full three-month course. It’s open to students in grades 3–12 at Goris public schools and to Goris State University students who meet a need-based criterion: orphaned by the Artsakh war, living with a disability, from a low-income or displaced family, a border-village resident, or a veteran’s child. The aim is equal access, and stronger English across Goris.

Hands-on · Learning by doing

Makerspace

An open, hands-on space where young people learn by doing — building real projects alongside an American educator and getting a first taste of student-led, American-style education. The point isn’t the finished piece; it’s the process: real skills, the freedom to make their own choices, and the chance to discover what they’re capable of.

Teacher development · Community

English as a Means of Communication

A community-wide project mapping the challenges of English teaching across all of Goris’s educational institutions — public schools, Goris State University, Goris State College, and continuing-education centers. Led by experts Ruzanna Antonyan and Narine Khondkaryan with project manager Gayane Ohanyan, it produced an analysis, a set of recommendations, an action plan, and two teacher-training courses.

Implemented within the “Local Government for the Development of the Goris Community” project by Goris Press Club NGO with Eurasia Partnership Foundation, with the support of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Phase 1 is under construction now: foundation, first floor, two classrooms, kitchen, dining hall, restrooms.

Phase 1 fundraising is live on reArmenia.
